Featured Game - Interchange Puzzle
Interchange Puzzle is one of the new games in Pretty Good Solitaire v1.6 for iPad. It is a cross between Interchange and Fifteen Puzzle.
It is a three deck game. The object is to move two of the decks - eight suit sets of thirteen cards - to the foundations and to move the other deck (or four suit sets) of cards into thirteen piles of four cards of the same rank.
There are eight foundation piles that are built up in suit from Ace to King. Below that are seven tableau piles, to be built down in suit. Move groups of cards if they are in sequence down in suit. Fill spaces with Kings or groups of cards headed by a King. At the start of the game seven cards are dealt to each pile, alternating face up and face down.
Then there are thirteen reserve piles on the right. Cards may be played on other cards of the same rank. At most four cards are allowed in any pile. Empty piles may be filled by any card. At the start of the game four cards are dealt face up to each pile.
Finally, there is a stock that is turned over one card at a time to a waste pile. There are no redeals. The top card of the waste pile is available for play on the foundations or tableau.
Interchange Puzzle can be won about 95% of the time by an average player, while good players can win nearly every time.
Interchange Puzzle is one of the 1040 games in Pretty Good Solitaire (for Windows), and one of the 750 games in Pretty Good Solitaire Mac Edition and Pretty Good Solitaire for iPad.
