Featured Game - Agnes Four
Agnes Four is a new game in version 20.0 of Pretty Good Solitaire for Windows. In this video I explain how to play Agnes Four: How to Play Agnes Four.
Agnes Four is a four deck version of the three deck game Agnes Three and the one deck game Agnes Bernauer. It plays exactly like Agnes Three, except there are more cards and more piles.
Agnes Four has eight foundation piles. These piles are built up in suit from from the rank of the first card dealt to the first pile, wrapping to Ace and then to King again, until each pile contains 26 cards. Only two piles for each suit allowed. The game is won when all the cards are moved here.
There are 13 tableau piles. These piles are built down by alternate color, wrapping from Ace to King if necessary. Groups of cards if they are in sequence down by alternate color can be moved as a unit. Spaces are filled by any card or legal group of cards headed by a card one rank below the foundation base card. At the start of the game, one card is dealt to the first pile, two cards to the 2nd, up to 13 cards dealt to the 13th pile.
There are also 13 reserve piles at the bottom. The top card in each reserve pile is available for play on the tableau or foundations. At the start of the game one card is dealt to each pile. No building.
Finally, There is a stock pile face down in the top left. Clicking on the stock deals one card to each reserve pile.
Most games of Agnes Four should be winnable, but it won't necessarily be easy.
