Yesterday our 17 year old cat Ace passed away. she was a great lapcat in her later years.
For 4 years she had suffered from kidney disease, but for the last 2 years we have been giving her fluids under the skin daily to keep her going and keep her quality of life high, which it was up until a few days ago.
The first picture is her as a kitten in October 1999 and the other is from just a couple of days ago.
My condolences. We have a cat who is getting up in years. He has had arthritis for years, but other than that his health is fine. We aren't sure how many more years he'll be with us.

I am sorry for your loss. Since I have had Siamese cats for years and they are prone to kidney disease, I know about living with a companion that suffers from this disease. I know you will miss Ace and I will remember Ace and you as I play solitaire.

I was so sorry to hear of Ace's passing. We lost our 17-year-old last summer (same constellation of problems) so I know how much you will miss your friend. Please accept my condolences.

Sorry to hear about ACE; we have a cat similar in age with similar ailments. Chaco has also lost a lot of weight in recent years. I suspect we will be marking his passing before 2017.

I am so sorry for your loss. We lost our baby to kidney failure 10 years ago (at only 9 years old) and still miss her terribly.

I am so sorry that you lost Ace. I have been through that same scenario and I know that each cat is special...I am hoping your hearts find joy in remembering her.

So sorry for your loss. Just lost my 13 year old to throat cancer. It never ends well. These precious fur children leave indelible paw prints on our hearts but life without them is unimaginable.
