I'd heard rumors of this, but today it is official:
Google creating Casual Game Advertising System
The company said publishers will be able to use the Google system to put advertising in their games, and collect revenue. Advertisers, in turn, will be able to work through the Google system to buy ad space within games.

Our game Pretty Good MahJongg won the Shareware Industry Award for best non-action game of 2007. The Shareware Industry Awards are voted on by members of the shareware industry. The complete list of winners this year can be found at the Shareware Industry Awards site.
This is the first time Pretty Good MahJongg has ever won this award. Pretty Good Solitaire won in 1999, 2001, and 2006.

Interesting story in BusinessWeek: Bloggers Bring in the Big Bucks
It's about how a couple of people created a joke web site: I Can Has Cheezburger!
They just posted funny pictures of cats with captions on them. It started in January. In May, the guy quit his job to work on the site full time.

PopCap Games, famous for their game Bejeweled, has bought indie game developer Retro64.
Congratulations to Mike Beoh! He was a small MicroISV type operation, now he is "PopCap Chicago".
