Gamecloud has an interview with casual game developers Wildsnake Software.
It’s pretty simple and easy. You just develop the game and publish it on your own website. What is the problem? Oh! You want it to be casual in the correct meaning of the term - “incredibly fun and easy to play and control, appealing to casual game audience meaning to everybody on this Earth”? You want it to sell a lot? You want all online game archive owners come to you and ask for permission to sell it on their websites? Don’t you want too much in one moment? :)
Well. This is almost impossible if so. But that “almost” is such a juicy thing to aim. You can’t resist to always trying to get it. And this is not even the question of money for well-established companies like WildSnake Software – after all we get enough funds for a living from our own website and contracts with our small retail partners.
Looks like another developer not dependent on the portals.
